Friday, April 11, 2009 On Good Friday, a violent storm system moved through north Georgia during the early evening hours. The most significant hail damage was in northwest Georgia where eyewitnesses reported baseball-sized hail. Official reports say the storms affected Gwinnett, south Fulton, Henry, Spalding, Coweta and Fayette counties, but eyewitnesses in DeKalb county also reported large hail and damaging wind.
